Attending an interview after a final refusal from the Danish Refugee Appeals Board
If you have received a decision by the Danish Refugee Appeals Board with a set time limit for departure, you will be informed at once by the chairman of the Refugee Appeals Boards.
Immediately after this, you will meet a member of staff from the Danish Return Agency, who will briefly interview you to explain the next steps in the process.
You will thus be informed that you are obliged to leave Denmark.
You will also be informed of your duty to cooperate on your departure arrangements and of the possible consequences if you do not.
You will then be given a date and time for your first return journey interview with the Danish Return Agency along with the name and telephone number of the return journey adviser who will interview you. You will also be asked to provide your personal telephone number.
You are obliged to attend this interview. Failure to do so may have consequences for you. If you are prevented from attending the interview, you should contact your return journey adviser and explain why you cannot attend.
Your first interview will normally take place at the Danish Return Agency, which has offices at Birkerød Kongevej 2–4, 3460 Birkerød.
Occasionally, a first return journey interview can also take place by telephone.
You will be informed about this during the brief interview with the Danish Return Agency’s member of staff at the Refugee Appeals Board.
