New director general in The Danish Return Agency

On the 4th of August, the Danish Return Agency welcomed our new Director General, Signe Schmidt.

Signe joins the Agency from the Danish Tax Agency, where she served as Deputy Director General. She brings extensive leadership experience, including from several other government organisations.

As Director General, Signe will be responsible for leading the Danish Return Agency's continued development and day-to-day operations across all areas of responsibility within Denmark's return system, an integral part of the overall immigration area under the Danish Ministry of Immigration and Integration.

Commenting on her appointment, Signe says:

"I look forward to working in the field of return and to leading the Agency's important task, which is of both great significance to society as well as the subject of considerable public attention. I also look forward to getting to know all of our partners and my new colleagues at the Danish Return Agency."
